Winners of Tirana Photo Festival 2022

Winners of Tirana Photo Festival 2022 The annual festival that gathers young people passionate about photography was a success this year as well, which was the fifth edition to take place. The award ceremony, which was held on September 11 in the courtyard of the Tirana Gallery, has now become a tradition. Present at the ceremony were the deputy mayor of the Municipality of Tirana, Mr. Andi Seferi, the honorable jury and the director of the gallery Mr. Abaz Hodo. The festival was organized by DMO Albania, with the support of the Municipality of Tirana for the 5th year in a row.

The festival lasts two weeks from September 11-23, where during this week the exhibition with the 100 finalist photos is open to the public on the third floor of the Tirana Art Gallery (Kavajës Street).

During the days of the festival, photography workshops are held with Bevis Fusha (September 12-13), Armand Habazaj (September 19-20), and Albert Cmet (photo safari September 16-17). The winners of this edition are: First prize: Joni Margjeka (Violinist in the window) provided by the Municipality of Tirana worth 50,000 ALL.

The second prize of the Festival (30,000 ALL) Nina Kanina-winner of the photo series contest from Albania The third prize of the Festival – Sotjon Gaspari. Winning photo (Emigration, photo at “Mother Teresa” airport. 10,000 ALL Griseld Hoxha. Winning photo (Youth in coffee) 10,000 ALL The prize for the most creative photo Eris Baki was awarded the prize for the most creative and conceptual photo and was given a camera sponsored by Camera Store Albania. The “Best Video” award of the “Green Albania” competition Elion Zenelaj, winner of the award, made possible by the Municipality of Tirana, worth 20,000 ALL. The festival was organized by DMO Albania, with the support of the Municipality of Tirana and the Ministry of Culture. The festival lasts one week from September 11-23, 2024 where during this week the exhibition with 100 finalist photos on the first floor of the Tirana Art Gallery is open to the public.
